2019 schedule

The Summer School was an intense nine-day cross-curricular learning experience. Participants discussed crucial global issues, from artificial intelligence to the origins of the universe. Around 50 professionals working or studying in various fields helped students discover the latest research topics, debate issues, and practice crucial skills like critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving.

In 2019, we continued the Community Hackathon pioneered in 2018. Participants worked in teams mentored by six business mentors and six junior mentors (last year's participants led their own projects as a result of the summer school). The topic was climate change - all six teams pitched their ideas and worked on feasible plans on ecological education and are currently implementing their ideas with help from their mentors. All teams had financial support up to £400 to kick off their projects.
